Celebration of art, music and nature
Spring rain has soaked the soil of Lyn and Peter Brown’s gorgeous garden at 196 Tinonee Road, Wingham as they prepare to open it to the public tomorrow, Saturday, October 26.
The ‘Spring Garden Spectacular - A Celebration of Art, Music and Nature’ is a Beyond Blue charity fundraising event and will be held from 10am until 4pm.
Lyn and Peter have been working for months to prepare their private garden that features English-style plantings, water features and hedges - this is the first time they have opened their garden to the community. The event includes art displays by local artists, including Lyn, Helen Hindmarsh, Rob Mitchison and Melinda Mwanza - a spectacular showcase of creative skills across various mediums.
Fresh scones, slices and biscuits and Wild Fig coffee and cakes will be available, and fresh flowers grown by The Flower Cart Boutique will also be available to purchase.
Soulful tunes will be performed by local musician, Tlarmon and also featuring is classical violinist, Caity Rose, who has more than 14 years of experience in ensembles and orchestras.
Lyn and Peter will collect a gold coin at entry with the money to be donated to Beyond Blue.
I will enjoy this beautiful event with my mother and am happy to share that I will sit down with Lyn after the event to interview her for a Love Pray Do feature story.
I do hope you will make time to visit their garden, enjoy the art and music and donate to Beyond Blue.
Love, pray and do.
