Celebrate with me!

Celebrate with me!

REFLECTION | A snapshot of some of the people and stories that are part of the Love Pray Do story.

Today I’m celebrating! Not one specific thing, instead it is the thousands of things that have brought me to this moment in time where I am sitting at my messy desk writing a blog post for Love Pray Do that may never be read by others.

Love Pray Do is a work-in-progress, the website lacks functions, pages, a newsletter, polish, SEO optimisation, tags … you get the idea of what it’s lacking, suffice to say the list is long … and yet, I’ve chosen to share it with you and the world. Love Pray Do is an imperfect work-in-progress that will grow and change over time and as it does, in every stage of its development, it will make a difference in the world. It is just like me!

My choice to celebrate this with you is inspired by the ‘Your Daily Fire’ audio (October 24) on Brendon Burchard’s Growth Day app. I listen to it daily, it’s free and it’s worth a look if you’re interested in personal development.

It was this excerpt that sparked self-reflection and action to write this post.

“….another way to feel a little more fulfilled and maybe more purposeful is to create more social celebration in your life. You see, no matter how far we progress in life, you really won't feel it especially over a span of time, where it leads to fulfilment, if you don't celebrate your wins and lessons with other people. Social celebrations are demarcations of time, they're like milestones along our life and the fewer social celebrations we have, the fewer connections to purpose and fulfilment we have.”

So, this post is my social celebration with you!

My wins and lessons over time are many with Love Pray Do.

The wins are choosing to take baby steps to create the website, engage a graphic designer to create the logo and branding, secure monthly publication in Focus Manning-Great Lakes and Focus Port Macquarie, and see people take action in response in published stories.

A lesson can be defined as “a period of learning or teaching”, and so from the whisper of an idea in 2018 until now, I have learned that Love Pray Do is a tool that can help my community, and significantly, perfection is not required to use my skills for purpose, it is action. Discovering that the creativity and connection of Love Pray Do storytelling satisfies my heart, soul and desire to be of service to others – now that is cause for celebration!

Oh, and if you haven’t read the latest Community Stories post I invite you to read it here.

Love pray and do.
