Inspiring kindness,
community connection,
and faith conversations

Founder and storyteller:

Ainslee Dennis

I am a storyteller. I know the power of story and its capacity to connect, teach and inspire individuals and communities.

Working with words is a skill refined over decades in a career that includes working as a journalist for Rural Press, Fairfax Media and Australian Community Media, and as a media/electorate officer supporting politicians in State, Federal and Senate tiers of Australian government.

Love Pray Do is named for the three words that I claim as the foundation of my faith. It sounds simple, the execution is not, but I cherish its challenge.

I am excited by the Love Pray Do adventure that began in 2018, hit the COVID road bump and stopped in 2020, and four years on, I’ve chosen to connect again with my community to tell stories that will uplift and inspire. I finance Love Pray Do with income earned as a disability support worker.

In recent years Love Pray Do stories featured in Focus Manning-Great Lakes and Focus Greater Port Macquarie - two magazines that were delivered monthly to more than 40,000 homes on the Mid North Coast. Focus Manning-Great Lakes did not survive the impact of the pandemic on Australian businesses.

From October 2024, I will seek to spotlight the good that is being done by so many, for so many in our communities. I hope beautiful and challenging stories will be a catalyst for conversations about faith, inspire acts of kindness, and nurture tolerance for difference in our communities.

I will also aspire to play a positive role in supporting interfaith dialogue in Australia. Our country is increasingly multicultural and it is important we find ways to cultivate positive interactions between people of different faiths.

Love, pray and do.
